Systems Analyst Programmer

Salary: ₱80,000 – ₱100,000 per month

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst Programmer with strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, Unix, SQL, and Java. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing system solutions, developing and maintaining applications, conducting testing, and providing production support.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and prepare detailed program specifications for medium to complex systems and modules

• Design system solutions that align with business and technical requirements

• Develop, enhance, test, and implement applications based on approved specifications

• Identify test scenarios and execute unit, system, and integration testing

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure system functionality meets business requirements

• Investigate and resolve production issues, providing timely application support

• Perform deployment activities, including system installation, program promotion, and end-user training

• Create and maintain system, operations, and user documentation

• Provide regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders and project managers

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL, DB2, and Unix development, including programming, systems analysis, design, and testing

• 5+ years of SQL experience

• 5+ years of Java development experience

• 5+ years of experience working across the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Experience in Systems Analysis and Design

• Ability to understand and interpret Technical Specification Documents

• Proficient in MS Office and Lotus Notes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
