About Corbel
Corbel Tech (part of Corbel Group) is a National Australian managed service provider. We look after the IT, security and cloud for businesses across Australia. We're a small, close team of mates who look out for each other, share what we know, and care about doing the job properly. We're also forward-looking. Through our AI pilot program we're putting AI agents and bots to work alongside our engineers. We're growing, with new clients coming on board and we need another solid engineer to join us.
The role
This is a predominantly hands-on Level 2 role that sits within our service desk and project team. You'll take tickets and escalations, own problems through to the fix, and spend part of your week onsite at client sites. You'll also work on projects. You'll be part of our AI pilot program too, working day to day with AI agents and bots and helping shape how we use them for our team and our clients. There are no glass ceilings here. If you can do it and want to take it on, you'll get the chance, whether that's security, projects, or AI. You won't be thrown in the deep end on your own either. You'll be mentored by experienced engineers who are genuinely happy to help, back you up on the tricky stuff, and help you grow.
What you'll do
Administer, configure and maintain security controls against Essential Eight baselines and report on maturity
Resolve incidents and requests, mostly at L2 with some L3, across Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
Manage users, access, MFA, Conditional Access and device compliance in Entra ID and Intune
Respond to security alerts and help investigate suspicious activity
Look after Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, virtual hosts and backups
Troubleshoot networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls and internet links
Visit client sites regularly for scheduled support, hardware and urgent issues
Deliver project tasks such as upgrades, device rollouts, server and VM builds, and new site setups
Work alongside AI agents and bots in our pilot program and help improve how they support the team
Work with third-party vendors to get issues fixed
Pick up additional responsibilities as you show you're ready. We back people who want to stretch
