Right now, we are
looking for a Systems
Operator to integrate our internal team, based in Lisbon.
Your responsibilities
include:
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade virtual servers across
Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring system stability, service
availability, and compliance with patching and security standards;
- Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access policies
through identity and access management solutions, including Active Directory;
- Monitor system health and performance, including CPU, memory,
storage, network connectivity, logs, service availability, and response times,
using monitoring and alerting tools;
- Implement, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster
recovery procedures to ensure the protection and recoverability of critical
business data;
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, authentication,
networking, permissions, and application-related issues through log analysis,
event correlation, root-cause investigation, and corrective actions;
- Provide second-line technical support by managing incidents and
service requests, prioritizing workloads, meeting SLAs, and ensuring timely
resolution or escalation when required;
- Create, maintain, and improve technical documentation, including
operational procedures, runbooks, disaster recovery plans, system
configurations, and change records;
- Assess the impact of infrastructure changes, communicate risks and
dependencies, and execute updates and changes following established change
management processes;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability,
security, and continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure and services.
You must have:
- High school diploma or currently pursuing a degree in Computer
Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 1–2 years of experience in systems support, infrastructure
operations, or a similar technical role;
- Practical experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL,
CentOS) and Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, and/or 2022);
- Experience administering Active Directory, including user and group
management, permissions, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs);
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Zabbix,
Nagios, PRTG, or equivalent solutions;
- Experience with backup and recovery technologies, such as Veeam,
Acronis, or similar platforms;
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze logs,
diagnose incidents, and identify root causes;
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and IT service management practices,
including ITIL-based processes and tools such as ServiceNow;
- Availability to work in a shift-based environment, including 24/7
operations when required;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese;
proficiency in technical English is considered an asset.
We

- Linux certification, such as LPIC-1 or equivalent;
- Experience with virtualization platforms, including VMware and Hyper-V;
- Basic scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python;
- Experience working with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure,
AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
- Fundamental networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
technologies;
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently when solving
technical issues;
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage priorities effectively
in high-pressure environments;
- Team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and
continuous improvement.
