Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist is responsible for designing and executing strategies to attract, recruit, and retain top talent that aligns with the company’s mission and goals. This role focuses on building a robust talent pipeline, ensuring a seamless candidate experience, and implementing initiatives that enhance employee retention and engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in sourcing, screening, and onboarding processes, as well as the ability to develop retention strategies that promote a positive employee experience and foster long-term commitment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
Build relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional networks to identify potential talent.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, create job descriptions, and design effective hiring processes.
Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and a professional approach throughout the recruitment process.
Track recruitment metrics to measure the success of sourcing and hiring strategies.
Employee Retention and Engagement
Design and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improving retention.
Partner with leadership to develop career development programs and growth opportunities for employees.
Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive compensation, benefits, and workplace practices.
Lead initiatives to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion, supporting the overall employee experience.
Employer Branding
Strengthen the company’s employer brand by promoting a positive image to potential candidates and the wider talent market.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling recruitment marketing materials, including job postings, social media content, and employee testimonials.
Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and other networking opportunities to attract talent.
HR Systems and Reporting
Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure accurate candidate and recruitment data.
Generate reports on recruitment and retention metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Leverage HR analytics to identify and address gaps in talent acquisition and retention efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR roles.
Proven success in developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
Technical know-how of various HRIS Software applications such as HR Breezy
Certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent are a plus.
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and employees at all levels.
Expertise in sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting and networking.
Ability to design and execute engagement and retention programs effectively.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
High level of adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
