Technical Project Coordinator (Platform & Data Services)
Summary
Coordinates delivery for Rezzil's Platform & Data Services team in Manchester: translating requirements into Jira tasks, tracking progress through their Kanban workflow, and keeping stakeholders informed. Not a coding role — needs strong Jira skills and comfort discussing APIs, databases and backend systems.
About Rezzil
Rezzil creates innovative sports technology products across performance, gaming and broadcast. Our products serve professional teams, athletes, broadcasters and consumers, spanning VR, mobile, console and real-time 3D experiences.
Our exar.live platform provides the ingest and data-transport infrastructure for live sports data, powering our analysis tools, broadcast solutions, augmented reality graphics, and virtual production experiences. Alongside continuing to develop our existing products, we are expanding into new areas including computer vision and AI-led sports technology.
Rezzil is based in Manchester and London, with flexible, hybrid working options depending on the role.
About the Role
We're looking for an organised, proactive, technically curious Technical Project Coordinator to bridge the gap between Product Managers, Producers, and our Platform & Data Services (PDS) team.
You'll work closely with the Head of PDS and our developers to turn high-level requirements into clear, actionable Jira tasks, coordinate priorities, track progress and ensure work moves efficiently through development to delivery.
You'll also be a central point of communication, maintaining visibility across projects, identifying blockers, and keeping stakeholders informed without creating unnecessary administrative work for developers.
You don't need to be a developer, but you should understand software development terminology and be comfortable discussing APIs, databases, backend systems and integrations with technical teams.
What You'll Be Doing
Project & Task Coordination
- Work with Product Managers, Producers and technical leads to understand requirements and translate them into detailed Jira tasks and subtasks.
- Ensure tasks have clear descriptions, acceptance criteria, dependencies and ownership.
- Coordinate task allocation with technical leads, considering developer skills, availability and priorities.
- Track progress, identify blockers and escalate risks that could affect delivery.
- Coordinate development handovers, testing, and QA before signing off work.
Jira & Workflow Management
- Maintain accurate Jira boards, backlogs, task statuses and project documentation.
- Support the team's Kanban workflow, ensuring work is properly tracked from request through to delivery.
- Maintain visibility of workloads, milestones, dependencies and upcoming releases.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting and reduce administrative overhead.
Communication & Reporting
- Attend relevant stand-ups, project meetings and cross-department discussions, capturing actions and decisions.
- Act as the communication link between PDS, Product, Production and other development teams.
- Provide clear, concise progress updates to stakeholders and the Development & Programme Director.
- Proactively identify cross-team dependencies and bring the right people together to resolve issues.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in technical project coordination, production coordination or software delivery within a technology-focused environment.
- Hands-on Jira experience, including task creation, backlog management and progress tracking.
- Experience working directly with software developers or technical teams.
- A working understanding of software development processes, including requirements, development, testing and releases.
- Familiarity with backend development terminology, including APIs, databases, cloud services and integrations.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, following up on tasks and improving workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience in backend development, SaaS, data engineering or live services environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira dashboards, JQL or workflow automation.
- General understanding of REST APIs, JSON, SQL databases or data pipelines.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Node.js, PHP/Laravel, React or Docker.
- An interest in sports technology, gaming or broadcast.
Who We're Looking For
You'll enjoy working with technical teams, understand how development projects operate, and take pride in keeping things organised.
You're comfortable asking developers questions, clarifying requirements and following up on progress, while respecting their time and technical expertise.
You'll know how to turn discussions into actionable tasks, spot potential issues early and ensure the right people have the information they need.
We're looking for a strong coordinator with technical understanding, not someone expected to write code or make technical decisions.
What We Offer
