Technical Sales Engineer (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for product installation, maintenance and daily operations, including assistance with technical drawings and simulations.
• Support new product setup, technical evaluations and customer acceptance.
• Troubleshoot production-floor issues, including urgent site calls, to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and record product performance, analysing yield and defect data to support improvements.
• Coordinate with local and overseas engineers on technical issues, corrective actions and product improvements.
• Maintain customer relationships, identify application opportunities and communicate customer requirements, complaints and market feedback.
• Prepare technical reports and facilitate bilingual communication between customers and overseas engineering teams.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Working proficiency in Japanese for engineering communication and technical report translation; JLPT N2 or equivalent preferred.
• Good written and spoken English, with practical troubleshooting and customer communication skills.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing or field engineering, with basic knowledge of semiconductor process components or hardware systems, is preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude are welcome.
