Salary: $165 - 175/hr inc super

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a major ACT Government technology program supporting critical infrastructure and digital services used across Canberra. You'll be part of a large-scale enterprise environment responsible for delivering and supporting network capabilities that underpin government services across health, education, emergency services and the broader public sector. This is a highly visible role within a complex ICT landscape, offering the opportunity to influence strategic technology outcomes while working alongside experienced technical specialists.

Your new role

As the Senior Network Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across enterprise network services while supporting both project delivery and operational environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design, implementation and support of enterprise network infrastructure
• Providing advanced troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and remediation across complex environments
• Delivering network-related project outcomes and infrastructure enhancements
• Supporting operational network services, monitoring and incident resolution activities
• Producing and maintaining detailed technical documentation and designs
• Mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across the team
• Working closely with stakeholders, vendors and delivery teams to ensure high-quality service outcomes
• Supporting technologies across Cisco, Check Point, F5 and related networking platforms

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

• Strong enterprise networking experience across large and complex ICT environments
• Expertise supporting and managing Cisco-based network infrastructure
• Experience with technologies such as Check Point and F5
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management and root cause analysis skills
• Experience delivering network infrastructure projects and upgrades
• Sound understanding of ITIL principles and service management practices
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership

Mandatory Requirements

• Current AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)
• Ability to work on-site within the ACT as required
