Summary:

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring high-quality software through collaboration and best practices in testing and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.

  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to understand application requirements.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects.

  • Develop test plans and test cases.

  • Stay updated with the latest Playwright features and best practices.

  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in test automation and continuous integration.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.

  • Contribute to the development of testing frameworks and methodologies.

  • Participate in sprint planning and agile development processes.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation to enhance test automation capabilities.

  • Research and evaluate new test automation tools and technologies.

  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to enable faster feedback loops.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience as a Playwright Expert (2+) or Software Test Engineer (5+) with a strong focus on automation.

  • In-depth knowledge of Playwright framework or expertise in creating/modifying frameworks using Selenium with Java.

  • Proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.

  • Proficient in test management tools and test automation frameworks.

  • Proven experience with Playwright or similar web testing frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) practices.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

  • Background in Agile methodologies.
