- Schedule wellness, sick, surgical, specialty, and referral appointments.
- Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
- Review medical records to communicate doctor-approved treatment plans, estimates, discharge instructions, and follow-up recommendations.
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, specialists, and referring hospitals.
- Recognize when medical questions require assistance from the veterinary team.
- Maintain organized medical records and document all client interactions accurately.
- Support daily hospital operations through administrative and front desk responsibilities.
- Help create a positive, collaborative workplace culture centered on outstanding patient care and client service.
- Has previous customer service experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, hospitality, or another client-focused industry.
- Communicates with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.
- Can accurately review patient records and communicate veterinarian-approved recommendations while understanding appropriate medical boundaries.
- Is highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment while successfully multitasking.
- Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
- Has a genuine passion for animals and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veterinary receptionist or veterinary client service experience.
- Experience working in an animal hospital, veterinary clinic, or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software such as ezyVet or similar systems.
- Experience scheduling appointments and managing multi-line phone systems.
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology.
