Role Summary

• We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright and CodeceptJS to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications.
• The ideal candidate must have practical experience building and executing
• automation scripts using Playwright with CodeceptJS, along with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
• You will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software, improve test coverage, and accelerate release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with

CodeceptJS.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test scenarios and

automation strategies.

• Perform automated regression, functional, smoke, and integration testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using JIRA or equivalent defect-tracking

tools.

• Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure quality throughout the

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Execute test cases, analyze results, and troubleshoot automation failures.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and

faster releases.

• Maintain test documentation, improve automation coverage, and follow QA best

practices.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 2 - 5 years of experience in QA automation for web and/or mobile applications.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Playwright and CodeceptJS.
• Strong practical experience writing, executing, debugging, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with CodeceptJS.
• Good understanding of automation framework design, reusable test components, and test suite maintenance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience in functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Selenium and other test automation tools.
• Exposure to API testing and automation.
• Experience with mobile application testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation pipeline integration.
