Web & AI Developer I Full-time Remote Position

Salary: $700 – $950 per month

We are looking for a practical and motivated Web & AI Developer to join our IT team in a full-time remote role. This position suits someone with hands-on development experience who already uses AI coding tools such as Claude in their daily work, and who wants to grow further in web development, backend development, and building internal tools. The role offers flexibility in daily working hours, but it also requires reliability, clear communication, and availability when urgent website or system issues come up.

The role covers two areas. The first is our websites: maintaining and updating WordPress and Elementor sites, supporting Shopify, and working on custom-coded pages. The second is our internal tools: building, maintaining, and improving the scripts, integrations, and automations the team relies on every day, such as reporting and payroll tools, connections between HR, finance, and point-of-sale systems, and AI-assisted workflows. Hands-on experience building with Claude is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and improve internal tools, scripts, and automations used across the business.

• Edit and extend existing internal tools when requirements change, including tools that were originally built with AI assistance.

• Develop and maintain integrations between our systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and data files such as CSV and Excel.

• Use Claude and other AI coding tools to write, review, debug, and document code.

• Build and improve AI-assisted workflows, including prompts, Claude Projects and skills, and connections between AI tools and our systems through APIs and MCP servers.

• Review and test AI-generated code before it goes live, and make sure you understand what it does.

• Deploy and maintain small apps and services on cloud hosting, including environment variables, logs, and scheduled jobs.

• Work with WordPress and Elementor to maintain and update websites.

• Create new pages, blog posts, and landing pages based on existing templates and design style.

• Support updates on Shopify websites, products, pages, and content where needed.

• Make front-end changes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and back-end changes in PHP where required.

• Work with hosting environments, cPanel, domains, DNS, and SSL.

• Troubleshoot website and system issues, including bugs, broken layouts, errors, and failed automations.

• Test website changes on desktop and mobile, and test internal tools with real data, before publishing.

• Keep short, clear documentation for the tools and automations you build or change.

• Assist the team with general IT questions and technical problems.

• Support urgent or ad-hoc IT, website, and system issues when needed, including occasional weekend support for important technical problems.

• Work with operations, finance, marketing, and content teams to understand what they need from our tools and websites.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on web development experience, with real projects you can show us.

• Hands-on experience building with Claude, for example Claude Code, Claude Projects, or the Claude API. This is a requirement for the role.

• Backend development experience in at least one of Python, Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript), or PHP.

• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and webhooks.

• Ability to read, understand, and fix AI-generated code rather than only copying and pasting it.

• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.

• Experience with Git and version control.

• Experience working with WordPress and Elementor.

• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Basic understanding of hosting, cPanel, DNS, and SSL.

• Experience with Shopify or strong willingness to learn it quickly.

• Good English communication skills, written and spoken.

• Ability to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when something is unclear.

• Strong attention to detail and careful handling of business data, including staff and finance records.

• Ability to work remotely and manage tasks responsibly.

• Flexibility to handle ad-hoc or urgent IT situations, including occasional weekend work when required.

• Comfortable using time-monitoring software during working hours.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical technical work and already builds with AI every day. You do not need to be a senior developer, but you should be comfortable moving between websites and backend code, learning new systems quickly, and solving technical problems on your own.

We are looking for someone who uses AI to work faster and still checks the result properly. The right candidate is reliable, organized, and detail-oriented, takes ownership of tasks, communicates clearly with the team, and completes changes carefully.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Team members can organize their own daily working hours as long as the required full-time hours are completed, tasks are delivered on time, and communication with the team remains clear.

Some flexibility is required for urgent IT, website, or system issues. Important problems may sometimes need to be handled outside standard working hours, including occasional weekend support.

Time-monitoring software is required and must be used during working hours.
