Web3 & Blockchain Technology Research & Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyse Web3 technologies, blockchain fundamentals, and emerging technology trends.

• Study blockchain architecture, distributed ledger technology, consensus mechanisms, and peer-to-peer networks.

• Evaluate different blockchain platforms, networks, development frameworks, and technical tools.

• Research smart contract concepts, programming, testing methodologies, and potential applications.

• Explore decentralised application (DApp) architecture and the integration of blockchain technology with conventional software systems.

• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate and evaluate potential blockchain applications.

• Assess blockchain performance, scalability, interoperability, security, and technical limitations.

• Research cryptographic principles, digital signatures, hashing, and data integrity mechanisms used in blockchain systems.

• Evaluate blockchain development tools, APIs, testing environments, and software integration methods.

• Monitor developments in Web3 infrastructure, blockchain protocols, and related technological innovations.

• Prepare technical reports, research findings, feasibility assessments, and recommendations for management.

• Collaborate with internal teams to share technical knowledge and explain blockchain concepts in practical business terms.

• Recommend suitable technology approaches based on research findings, technical feasibility, and business requirements.

• Maintain documentation of research activities, technical assessments, prototype results, and development findings.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of experience in software development, technology research, or a related technical field.

• Good understanding of blockchain technology, distributed ledger systems, and Web3 fundamentals.

• Familiarity with blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and smart contract concepts.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.

• Familiarity with software development frameworks, APIs, databases, and system integration principles.

• Understanding of application security, testing methodologies, and software development best practices.

• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to evaluate technical information and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to work independently.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

• Experience developing blockchain-related prototypes or proof-of-concept applications.

• Familiarity with smart contract development and testing tools.

• Exposure to blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger, or other blockchain ecosystems.

• Understanding of decentralised applications, tokenisation concepts, and blockchain interoperability.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerisation, version control, and automated testing.

• Experience preparing technical documentation, research reports, or technology recommendations.
