Wordpress developer
IMPAX is looking for a WordPress Developer for long-term remote collaboration across several active projects.
Your responsibilities will include building and improving websites, fixing issues, configuring environments, and customizing themes and plugins to meet project needs.
Requirements
3+ years of commercial experience with WordPress development.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive web development.
Experience with Tailwind CSS for building modern UI components.
Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+).
Strong PHP skills and understanding of OOP principles.
Experience working with SQL/MySQL databases.
Hands-on experience with WooCommerce development and customization.
Experience creating custom WordPress themes from scratch.
Experience developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins.
Proficiency with Gutenberg Blocks development (custom blocks).
Experience with Elementor and Beaver Builder.
Familiarity with npm, Webpack, and modern front-end build tools.
Experience integrating third-party REST APIs and external services.
Understanding of WordPress coding standards, security, and performance optimization.
Experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude and Cursor to improve productivity.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Good debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Intermediate or higher level of English.

Create reusable and maintainable Gutenberg Blocks.

Convert Figma or design mockups into responsive, pixel-perfect websites.
Develop front-end components using HTML, SCSS, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript.
Build and maintain efficient asset pipelines using npm and Webpack.
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
Optimize website performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO readiness, and accessibility.
Troubleshoot bugs and provide ongoing maintenance for existing projects.
Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, QA engineers, and project managers.
