Develops and optimizes large international WooCommerce e-commerce sites with a focus on technical SEO, performance, and scalable architecture using WordPress, PHP, and related web technologies.
We are looking for an experienced WordPress / WooCommerce Developer to support SEO-driven improvements for large international WooCommerce e-commerce platforms.
This role is with a strong focus on resolving technical SEO tasks, improving site structure, performance, crawlability, and WooCommerce SEO foundations across existing shops.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute SEO-focused technical improvements for WooCommerce-based e-commerce websites
- Analyze existing implementations and define an improved technical architecture
- Build and customize WooCommerce functionality based on business requirements
- Implement performance, scalability, and security best practices
- Ensure clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
- Collaborate with designers, QA, and marketing during the implementation process
- Support content updates, data integrity, and environment setup as needed
- Prepare the platforms for future growth and feature expansion
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress & WooCommerce development
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and solid understanding of JavaScript
- Proven experience with custom themes, custom WooCommerce functionality, and overrides
- Experience working on large-scale or high-traffic e-commerce websites
- Strong understanding of performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching, asset optimization)
- Familiarity with technical SEO fundamentals in WooCommerce
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex project tasks
- Experience with hosting environments, domain migrations, databases, and cPanel
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with headless architectures or modern frontend frameworks
- Experience with SEO tools and plugins
