Workday Financials (FIN) Analyst / Consultant

Job Description:

• Support the ongoing configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of Workday Financial Management modules.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to assess business requests, configure financial modules, and drive testing cycles through to production deployment.
• Assess and analyze incoming business requests against current Workday Financials configuration (e.g. Core Financials, Procurement, Financial Reporting, or related modules as assigned).
• Translate finance business requirements into system configuration and functional specifications.
• Manage requests related to financial processes, and reporting through the full lifecycle — intake, impact assessment, prioritization, build, testing, and deployment.
• Support financial business process configuration, and approval workflow changes.
• Conduct configuration testing, SIT, and support UAT with finance business users.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration workbooks, and test evidence.
• Track and report on request status, and resolution progress.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience configuring Workday Financial Management modules.
• Solid understanding of core accounting/finance processes (GL, AP, AR, procurement, or financial reporting).
• Experience working with business process configuration, security groups, and calculated fields.
• Ability to write clear functional specifications and test scripts.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to financial data accuracy.
• Experience working in large, complex environments preferred.

Good to Have:

• Workday Financials certification(s).
• Experience with Workday financial reporting tools (Composite Reporting, matrix reports).
• Exposure to governance and prioritization processes in a large program environment.
