For nearly two decades, this division built a reputation for fiduciary strength and operational excellence, serving as a critical partner to asset managers and retirement plan sponsors. The pivotal moment in its journey came when the division was acquired by Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity firm, allowing it to spin off into an independent entity. Rebranded as Great Gray Trust Company, the firm emerged with a renewed focus and agility, dedicated solely to the administration and trustee services of CITs.
