Summary

Create high-quality 3D character models for AAA games at GSC Game World — sculpting, texturing, optimizing for real-time, and integrating characters in Unreal Engine across the full pipeline. Uses Maya/3ds Max, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter; onsite in Prague or Kyiv, or remote within Europe.

3D Character Artist

Responsibilities:
• Development of high-quality 3D character models, including sculpting and texturing, while adhering to artistic and technical standards.

• Collaboration with the Art Director, Lead Character Artist, concept artists, and animation team to achieve the best possible results.

• Supporting the full character creation pipeline—from concept to final game release.

Optimization of models for real-time performance without compromising visual quality.

• Integration and testing of characters in Unreal Engine to ensure proper functionality and maintain a high level of detail.

• Mentorship and support for less experienced colleagues within the team.

Requirements:
• Over 5 years of experience in AAA game development as a Character Artist.

• Deep understanding of human anatomy and character proportions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the full character production pipeline, from concept to in-game integration.

• Understanding of animation requirements and best practices for creating optimized low-poly models.

• High-level expertise in sculpting, modeling, and texturing.

• Excellent proficiency in professional software packages: Maya/3ds Max, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine.

• Extensive knowledge of PBR shader principles.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and effectively implement artistic direction.

• Work with MetaHuman and Mutables will be considered an added advantage
