The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Account Executive to support the Vice President or Director of Sales in managing day-to-day account operations and driving sales performance. This role is ideal for a highly organized and customer-focused professional who excels at relationship management, sales analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and operational execution. The Account Executive plays a critical role in supporting customer accounts, product development initiatives, merchandising strategies, and sales growth while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do
Account Management & Customer Support
- Customer Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for buyers and assistant buyers regarding orders, samples, and general inquiries.
- Communication Coordination: Monitor and track communications with domestic and overseas partners, providing updates on shipping status and order progress.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, Quality Control, and Customer Service to ensure customer needs are met.
- Sales Opportunity Identification: Identify and communicate top-selling items and clearance opportunities through regular reporting.
- Customer Satisfaction: Proactively address customer issues and coordinate solutions with Sales and Customer Service teams to maintain strong customer relationships.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Sales Analytics: Support sales performance by tracking sales data, sell-through reports, and inventory levels.
- Forecasting Support: Partner with analysts and leadership to prepare monthly sales forecasts versus budget.
- Retail Performance Monitoring: Review retail sell-through reports, advertising exposure, and inventory projections.
- Business Insights: Analyze sales performance by category and brand to identify replenishment opportunities and areas for growth.
- Promotional Planning: Maintain clearance grids and assist in identifying promotional and markdown opportunities.
Meeting Preparation & Execution
- Buyer Meeting Preparation: Partner with Sales leadership to prepare product selections, pricing strategies, and proposals for customer meetings.
- Data Readiness: Collaborate with analysts to ensure reports and sales data are current and presentation-ready.
- Presentation Coordination: Coordinate meeting logistics including sample preparation, merchandising trays, and presentation materials.
- Sales Insight Development: Extract key selling opportunities such as best sellers, reorder recommendations, and replenishment strategies.
Meeting Follow-Up & Execution
- Action Planning: Document and distribute meeting notes to merchandising and analytics teams.
- Project Coordination: Manage next steps including pricing updates, project requests, NGF submissions, replenishment actions, and expansion opportunities.
- Presentation Review: Prepare and review presentations prior to submission to buyers.
- Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of pricing sheets and product cost documentation.
Product Development & Merchandising
- Customer Feedback Integration: Communicate buyer feedback and product requests to Merchandising and Product Development teams.
- Product Development Support: Assist with the development of customer-specific collections and new product opportunities.
- Project Tracking: Submit and monitor new product development requests.
- Development Collaboration: Review models and revisions with merchants throughout the development process.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Inspection Coordination: Partner with the Quality Control Director on new items requiring overseas inspections.
- Product Improvement: Work with QC and Product Development teams to improve products with high defect rates.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all packaging, licensing, and factory compliance requirements are met.
- Issue Escalation: Communicate potential delays or compliance concerns to management.
E-Commerce & Store Analysis
- Retail Review: Conduct store and website reviews with the sales support team to evaluate merchandising and marketing effectiveness.
- Market Insight: Provide recommendations and observations based on competitive analysis and retail trends.
- Digital Growth: Collaborate with the sales support team to maximize e-commerce opportunities.
Team Support & Leadership
- Operational Support: Provide guidance to sales representatives and customer service representatives in resolving customer concerns.
- Training & Development: Assist with training and mentoring sales support personnel.
- Performance Support: Contribute to team performance objectives and departmental initiatives.
Sample & Inventory Management
- Sample Management: Track and manage sample inventory, including retrieval of overdue customer samples.
- Inventory Documentation: Maintain records for all dot-com item pick-ups used in buyer presentations.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure specification sheets remain accurate and current.
Financial Oversight & Margin Management
- Margin Analysis: Review margins in partnership with Sales leadership.
- Allowance & Return Tracking: Maintain accurate records of customer allowances and returns.
- Return Reconciliation: Monitor return activity and reconcile information within internal systems.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in jewelry, luxury goods, retail, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales forecasting, inventory management, and sales analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Merchandising, Product Development, Quality Control, and Customer Service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced spreadsheet and sales reporting capabilities.
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Ability to develop compelling customer and executive presentations.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Copilot.
- ERP Systems: Experience with Navision or similar enterprise systems.
- Sales Forecasting: Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and retail analytics.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement.
- Customer Engagement: Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Project Coordination: Experience managing multiple projects, product launches, and customer initiatives simultaneously.

Compensation
For U.S. locations that require the disclosure of compensation, the pay range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000. Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not include other components of the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Richline Group, Inc., your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
