About the Position: Serves as Budget Analyst responsible for assigned Army budget programs. Incumbent performs budget program planning, analysis, execution, and policy advisory functions for assigned programs throughout the command.
Monitors real-time budget execution (obligations and expenditures) to ensure funds are properly allocated, spent in a timely manner, and aligned with authorized management objectives.
Analyzing resource data to advise management on unfavorable deviations and corrective actions.
Formulates and consolidates command-level budget estimates, interprets fiscal policy/law, and directly executes reprogramming actions and fund transfers to adapt to changing operational requirements while coordinating with higher headquarters.
Provides technical expertise on Army appropriations, establishes budgetary ceilings, and develops fund control policies and systems to ensure optimal, compliant use of available funds and manpower prior to fiscal year-end closeout.
Analyzes current and future-year Command Operating Programs, reviews command-level guidance and maintains strict compliance with federal legislation and Army regulations to support long-term budgetary planning and execution
