Job summary

The business development manager will be responsible for driving regional sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle. The role focuses heavily on public sector engagement, tender management, and solution-based selling, particularly within government and large-scale institutional environments.

Requirements

Business development & sales
Achieve assigned regional sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
Conduct market research on target countries, including tenders, competitors, pricing, and technology trends.
Prepare and present regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.

Partnership & client management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard local business partners to strengthen market presence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities and key stakeholders.
Manage ongoing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.

Tendering & bid management
Monitor and evaluate government tenders and RFPs.
Define bidding strategies (direct, partner-led, or consortium-based).
Lead the bid management process and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals with high success rates.

Cross-functional coordination
Collaborate with pre-sales, product development, legal, and operations teams.
Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects with complete documentation.
Provide market insights and customer feedback to product teams.

Market representation
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
Support regional marketing initiatives and promote product awareness.

Systems & compliance
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

Qualifications & experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
Postgraduate qualification in sales or business development is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in public sector or government sales.
Proven track record in selling AI-based, data-driven, or advanced technology solutions.
Strong experience in tendering, bidding, and large-scale project acquisition.

Language requirements

English: fluent (mandatory).
