SUMMARY
Assists with the provision of electronic technical illustration and corporate graphic design communication services for the company. Develops, designs and drafts technical drawings and diagrams according to procedures, specifications and industry codes in support of plant operations. Designs and produces large scale graphic communications for corporate/industry presentations and conferences. This position adheres to SITE Core Values.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in Commercial Art or Graphics. Without a degree, 5 years experience in an organization using CorelDraw, AutoCad, Photoshop, PageMaker or current comparable software packages. An Associates Degree may be substituted for 2 years experience. (Required)
EXPERIENCE
2 Years + experience in an organization using CorelDraw, AutoCad, PhotoShop, PageMaker or current comparable software packages. (Required)
Associate- 2 Years + (Minimum 4 years) experience in an organization using CorelDraw, AutoCAD, Photoshop, PageMaker or current comparable software packages. (Required)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS CREATION - ASSOCIATE:
Assists in the development, design and drafts technical drawings and diagrams according to procedures, specifications and industry codes in support of plant operations.
Creates, maintains, analyzes, exchanges & presents automated mapping & GIS information in a computer aided drafting in order to produce computer generated STP's area maps for the company's Emergency Response Organization.
GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS DESIGN - ASSOCIATE:
Assists in the design and production of large scale graphic communications for corporate/industry presentations and conferences. Consults with customer regarding production factors such as presentation approaches, styles, techniques and cost-effective methodology. Works as a team members to help establish project milestones to ensure efficient implementation. Supports the company's Internet Web site by helping to develop and revise graphic images.
Assists in the design and production of corporate presentations, may include elements such as imbedded digitized video, animations and music.
Participates technically in presentation activities; work in team environment and maintain cost-conscious approach in support of company Business Plan.
Manages electronic files to ensure effective use of local area network file space.
Designs graphics for off-site conferences & seminars. Works with customer on required conference elements (signage, color schemes), production standards & professional quality considerations. Provides technical resource & consultation functions at event.
Conceptualizes, designs and produces graphic layout of large scale printed corporate communications that involve internal and external departments, production specifications and vendors.
Applies the fundamental relationships and uses of color in designing effective corporate communication projects.
Operates industry standard computer presentation software and computer hardware.
Provides technical resource and consultation functions at event: equipment configuration/set-up, graphics generation presentation activities. Produces corporate communications with publishing applications combined with computer-generated illustrations.
GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT EVALUATION - ASSOCIATE:
Works with the Graphics team to evaluate needs of the Graphics section and provide recommendations during annual corporate budget and business planning.
Researches & evaluates IT advances associated with graphics production including: graphics illustration & desktop publishing applications, offset printing, digital cameras, image processing, output devices (i.e. laser, color & dye-sublimation printers).
Evaluates existing equipment/software for additional value; ensure that it is used in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Communicates improvements, recommendations and potential input of section work processes and issues.
Develops and/or revises work guidelines (i.e. desktop instructions for CD writer).
Recognizes problems and is proactive in resolving them. Provide technical resource for printing equipment and related software problems.
Designer Graphics:
TECHNICAL DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS CREATION:

Creates, maintains, analyzes, exchanges and presents automated mapping and GIS information in a computer aided drafting and/or ArcView environment in order to produce computer-generated STP's area maps for the company's Emergency Response Organization.
Possesses technical knowledge of USGS mapping scale; overlays that depict various aspects of STP's readiness capabilities.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides digital photography services (i.e. portraits, brochures, Emergency Response drills, and public relations communications) to the company for projects requiring corporate photography on and off site.
Maintains responsibility for personal development, training work associates and the achievement of section and departmental goals. Provide graphic software technical assistance to company employees.
