Director - Service Sales - Life Sciences/Analytical Instruments

Role Overview:

Lead the India Service Sales business, with end-to-end responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, customer relationships, market expansion, and service strategy. The role is a key member of the India leadership team and works closely with APAC and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the service sales target and business growth, including profitability.

- Develop and execute the India service sales strategy.

- Increase penetration of the installed base, service contracts, lifecycle services, instruments and consumables.

- Drive new opportunities across enterprise customers, digital services and solution-based offerings.

- Establish strong KPIs, pipeline management, forecasting and performance reviews.

- Lead and develop a team of around 10 people, including 2 managers and 8 individual contributors.

- Build a strong leadership pipeline through coaching, succession planning and talent development.

- Manage senior-level enterprise customer relationships, strategic deals and negotiations.

- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Service Delivery teams.

- Align India execution with APAC and global strategy.

Ideal Candidate:

- 15+ years of experience in service sales or commercial leadership.

- Proven experience managing managers and multi-layered teams.

- Strong preference for candidates from Life Sciences, Analytical Instruments or Industrial Equipment.

- Demonstrated ownership of a large-scale service business, with strong revenue growth credentials.

- Strong commercial expertise in pipeline, forecasting, contracts and strategic deal execution.

- Experience working in complex, matrixed, regional or global organizations.

- Strong senior stakeholder and enterprise customer management skills.
