Food Runner
Position Summary: Support servers and serve as liaison between the kitchen, servers and Guests. Ensure hot food is delivered hot and cold food cold to the appropriate server and/or Guests. Provide garnish, presentation and preparation assistance in the kitchen.
Reports To: FOH Manager
Position Requirements:
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Deliver food from kitchen to appropriate server and assist server with delivery of food to Guests
- Work with Expeditor to ensure efficient delivery of food based on restaurant layout
- Perform food preparation duties when needed
- Follow all Chickies & Petes service standards
- Check food for quality and presentation before serving. All food should be presented according to Menu Builds.
- Ensure food is transported and handled in a sanitary manner
- Deliver to-go orders to Host/Hostess Stand for Guest pick up
- Assist in bussing and cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure all condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well stocked
- Respond appropriately to Guest requests, comments and complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a manager
- Complete beginning, change and end of shift side duties
- Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
- Provide garnish for specified menu items according to Menu Build
- Assist in keeping work areas clean
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings
- Additional tasks as assigned
