ICT Business Analyst

Salary: $100,000 – $115,000 per year

Legion Drilling is looking for an experienced ICT Business Analyst to help improve our systems, processes and use of technology across the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can understand a business problem, analyse the current process and turn it into a practical technology solution.

About the role

You will:

• Gather, analyse and document business and ICT requirements.

• Analyse existing systems, processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop functional requirements, process maps, workflows and system specifications.

• Identify opportunities to automate manual and spreadsheet-based processes and reduce human error.

• Work with software providers, developers and internal teams to design and implement system solutions.

• Assist with system integrations, implementation, testing and deployment.

• Analyse business data and develop reporting and dashboards to support decision-making.

• Investigate opportunities to use AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve business processes.

• Improve system usability and user experience by simplifying workflows and ensuring users receive clear, relevant information.

• Develop user guides, procedures and training materials.

• Continuously review systems and processes and recommend improvements.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and understands both business and technology.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience as an ICT Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or similar.

• Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.

• Strong business process analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with system implementation, testing and integrations.

• An understanding of marketing, customer journeys, business development and commercial performance.

• The ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Technical skills

Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

• SQL and databases

• Excel and data analysis

• Power BI, Looker or similar

• Workflow and business process automation

• AI implementation

• No-code/low-code applications

• Web or mobile applications

• APIs and system integrations

• Automated reporting
