Information Architect
Summary
An Information Architect contracting with a Government Department in Canberra until mid-2027, designing and governing enterprise information architecture, metadata, taxonomies and governance frameworks for a major change program, with 2 days per week office presence.
Salary: $130-$160 ph
Our client, a Government Department, is looking for an Information Architect for a Contract through to 30 June 2027, with 3 x up to 12-month extension options. This role will support a major Change Program by designing, structuring and governing information assets aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.In this role you will perform the following tasks but not limited to:
- Design, document and maintain enterprise information architecture frameworks and artefacts.
- Develop information models, metadata structures, taxonomies and classification schemes.
- Conduct information discovery workshops and assess current-state information environments.
- Define information governance standards, requirements and recommendations across business systems.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to support implementation, adoption and knowledge transfer.
- Proven experience designing and governing enterprise information architectures.
- Strong expertise in information modelling, metadata frameworks, taxonomies and classification structures.
- Demonstrated experience developing information governance frameworks and information management standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and communication skills across business and technical teams.
- Sound understanding of privacy, security, records management and regulatory requirements within complex environments.
- Baseline clearance.
