About the Role

Milton is looking for a hands-on IT lead to own the toolbox that makes work possible across the company: devices, identity and access, connectivity, collaboration software, and security controls, across our Hong Kong office, our mainland China team, and remote staff.

This is a real-ownership role for someone early in their career who wants to grow into an IT leader quickly. You won't inherit a big team or a ticket queue. You'll inherit a modern, unusually automated environment and the mandate to run it end to end, working directly with the CTO.

One thing makes this role different: we run IT the way modern teams run infrastructure. Identity, access, and configuration live in code (Terraform) wherever possible, changes go through review, and AI agents are a daily tool for automating, auditing, and documenting the environment. You don't need to arrive knowing all of this. You need to be excited to learn it.

Responsibilities

• Devices: procurement, one-command macOS setup, endpoint security, and lifecycle management across HK, mainland China, and remote.

• Identity and access: Microsoft Entra ID (SSO, MFA, app integrations), 1Password, and provisioning/deprovisioning that is fast, auditable, and increasingly automated.

• Collaboration: Feishu (our primary platform) and Microsoft 365. Integrations, governance, and making tools just work for both English- and Chinese-speaking colleagues.

• Connectivity: our Tailscale-based private network, office networking, and reliable secure access for a distributed team that includes mainland China.

• Onboarding and offboarding: own the checklist, then automate it away. Accounts, device, access, and tooling ready on day one.

• Security hygiene: access reviews, endpoint protection, sensible defaults that keep us safe without slowing anyone down.
  

What success looks like

• A new hire is fully productive on day one: accounts, device, access, tooling.

• The environment stays secure, consistent, and low-maintenance as we grow.

• Tools just work across HK, mainland China, and remote.

• The IT stack is documented, intentional, and increasingly managed as code.

Requirements

Must have

• Fluent English and Mandarin (spoken and written). You'll support colleagues in both every day.

• Strong technical fundamentals and fast learning: you can figure out an unfamiliar system with documentation and an AI agent beside you.

• End-to-end ownership: you close problems, not tickets.

• Familiarity with modern workplace tooling: Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Feishu/Slack/Teams, macOS setup, basic networking.

Huge plus

• Identity platforms (Entra ID / Azure AD, Okta), MDM, or device management experience.

• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) or any infrastructure-as-code exposure (Terraform).

• Daily comfort with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).

• IT/security internships, student IT roles, or internal-systems work at an early-stage company.

• Experience supporting users across HK and mainland China, including Feishu and cross-border networking realities.
