IT Systems Administrator

Client price and sales data reaches Phare in Germany and is analysed there, so the systems around it have to be run carefully: the Microsoft 365 tenant, the analysis environment, backups and who can see what. Phare is hiring an IT Systems Administrator in Germany to own that setup. It is a full-time job from home anywhere in the country; our leadership in Miami is six hours behind.
In practice you will:

- Administer our Microsoft 365 tenant, Entra ID and conditional access rules
- Run the virtual machines and databases our analysts use for client data
- Set up and test backups and restores
- Manage permissions on client project folders and review them each month
- Patch and monitor servers and devices, and follow up security alerts
- Document the setup and changes to it

To do this well you need:

- Vocational training as a Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration, a degree in IT, or comparable experience
- A year or more as a system administrator
- Windows Server or Linux administration and Microsoft 365

Not required, but helpful:

- Azure
- PowerShell scripting
- Experience with ISO 27001 or similar security standards
