IT Test Analyst
IT Test Analyst (developer background)
Our mission—to provide solutions for better living—guides us every day and reminds us of the positive impact our work has on the lives of tens of thousands of New Zealanders each year. We offer a comprehensive range of disability and rehabilitation equipment, housing modifications, and support services that empower people to live fuller, more independent lives.
Developer mindset. Quality focus. Real influence.
Are you a software developer who has discovered a passion for quality, or an experienced IT tester with a strong coding background?
We’re looking for an IT Test Analyst to join our in-house (on-site) technology team and play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality technology solutions.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional testing. You’ll work closely with developers, business stakeholders, analysts and project teams to influence quality from requirements through to production.
If you understand both how software is built and how it should be tested, this could be the role for you.
About the role
This role gives you the opportunity to have a real impact on the quality of technology delivered to the business.
You won't be sitting on the sidelines waiting for developers to finish coding. You'll be involved early, asking the right questions, identifying risks, challenging assumptions and helping shape better solutions.
Your coding background means you'll be able to get into the detail when required — whether that's querying a database, testing an API, analysing application behaviour or working with a developer to understand the root cause of a defect.
At the same time, you'll have a strong voice with the business, ensuring that technology solutions actually work for the people who use them.
What you will bring
We’re looking for someone who can comfortably operate between the technical and business worlds.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a software developer/programmer or strong practical coding experience.
- Experience with functional, integration and regression testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to investigate a defect rather than simply report it.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java or similar programming experience.
- REST APIs and API testing tools.
Why Accessable?
You'll be part of a team culture that is collaborative, supportive, and values real impact – you’ll finish each day knowing your work and contributions matter.
We offer a safe, welcoming, and inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and lived experience. If you’re someone who brings energy, integrity, and a drive to make a difference — we want to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in an organisation committed to improving outcomes for the people and communities we support.
Is this the role for you?
If you bring energy, integrity, and a genuine drive to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. To help your application stand out, use your cover letter to tell us more about who you are — why you’re the right fit for our team, what sets you apart, and how your skills, experience, and attitude will enable you to make a meaningful impact from day one.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so we encourage you to apply now.
Please note:
- You must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo a Criminal History Check.
- Overseas applications will not be considered.
