Junior Programmer (1 Year Contract)

Salary: RM 2,800 – RM 3,800 per month

We are seeking a Junior Programmer to join the MIS team at PET FAR EASTERN (M) SDN BHD. This is a contract position for 1 year, based in Senai, Johor. In this role, you will work on developing and maintaining software applications, contributing to various stages of the software development lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional IT environment whilst working alongside experienced developers. This position offers an excellent pathway for early-career programmers to build their technical skills and industry knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based applications using ASP.NET and C#.

• Write, maintain, and optimize SQL Server queries.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system or application issues.

• Perform system testing, debugging, and bug fixing.

• Support existing internal systems and implement system enhancements based on business requirements.

• Work closely with users and team members to understand system requirements.

• Prepare basic technical documentation when required.

• Assist with database-related tasks, including data checking, query development, and report generation.

• Perform other programming and IT-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

What we're looking for

• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, C++, Python, C# or JavaScript

• Understanding of fundamental programming concepts including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles
