PROGRAM ANALYST (CYBER TARGETING)

Summary

Analyzes cyber threats and targeting effects to advise military commanders on operations, collateral impacts, and joint targeting strategies.

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Gordon, GA.

Provides technical expertise and guidance to commanders and decision makers with respect to targeting effects and possible collateral effects to better inform decisions.

Planning efforts will focus primarily on nation states, non-state actors, criminal and terrorist organizations, and other threat actor operations within the Command’s global area of responsibility (AOR) with respect to targeting efforts.

Participates in combatant command (CCMD) boards, bureaus, cells, centers, and working groups in the conduct of planning for crisis and contingency operations

Trains and instructs staff from a variety of commands/organizations on relevant fires and targeting topics including, but not limited to: CEE, weaponeering, effects assessments, and the joint targeting cycle.

Will serve as a joint targeting, fire support, and collateral effects estimation (CEE) subject-matter expert for Army Cyber (ARCYBER) OCO operational planning teams (OPTs), and other joint and interagency working groups, as directed.
