Reviews and approves Army IT system waivers, advises on ITAS policy, and ensures compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Headquarters ACOS G-3/5 IT Mission Support Systems Support in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Serves as U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command Lead ITAS Approver.
Approver of Army ITAS waivers for U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) 3/5/7 and Information Assurance (IA) security.
Subject matter expert on the Army Information Technology Approval System (ITAS) advising NETCOM, ARCYBER, HQDA CIO/G-6, Army Commands (ACOM), Army Service Component Commands, and Direct Reporting Units (DRU).
Provide information assurance and security approvals for ITAS waivers submitted by all ACOMs.
Senior advisor on all ITAS Committees and working groups for policy development, systems functionality and processes.
Supports updates and maintenance of the ITAS Desk Side Reference Manual and ITAS training materials and tutorials.
Produce statistics and reports regarding ITAS waivers.
Provide technical advice to Army Commands and staff offices.
