Program Specialist
The primary purpose of the position is performs a diversity of complex tasks and operational functions associated with the provision of direct patient care. Provides operational management, resource supervision and monitoring, and program oversight, in support of the access and delivery of emergency patient care.
Major duties will include but not be limited: Manages, reviews, and coordinates procurement activities in the Emergency Service. Responsible for verifying accuracy and responds to all suspenses that come to the Emergency Department. Functions as the primary timekeeper for the Emergency Service Develops, promotes and maintains good relationships with a variety of groups. Gathers, assembles and analyzes facts and presents oral and written reports if compiled data to the Service Chief. Responsible for formulation and execution of annual budgets including salaries, overtime, travel, education, supplies, equipment, contracting, and all other general operating expenses Responsible for the administration of FTEE management to include maintaining service organizational chart, entering FTEE requests, position classification, developing and maintaining service Position Descriptions & Functional Statements. Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday 07:00am - 3:30pm Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies.
