Join a large financial organisation and work on a modern analytics platform used by more than 1,500 users across data, analytics and machine learning teams. As a Python DevOps Engineer, you will help build, automate and improve a cloud-first platform running on Microsoft Azure.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team with platform engineers, business analysts, product owners and solution architects. The focus is on creating reliable, scalable and maintainable solutions that make it easier for users to develop and run advanced analytics and machine learning workloads.
Your responsibilities
- Develop clean, maintainable Python scripts and applications
- Automate workflows and integrations across different data sources
- Translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions
- Improve platform stability, reliability and operational efficiency
- Monitor performance and resolve technical issues
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations
- Deploy and support cloud-native solutions in Azure
- Contribute to CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and platform automation
- Keep up with new Azure technologies and continuously improve the platform
Your profile
- Around 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering or a similar engineering role
- Strong Python 3.x skills, including clean, modular and testable code
- Experience with FastAPI and RESTful APIs
- Experience with pytest, mocking and API contract testing
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience with services such as Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API, Storage Accounts and Cosmos DB
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and scalable Azure deployments
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Comfortable working in a collaborative engineering environment
