Description:

Job purpose
Ensures raw material quality through inspections, documentation, and collaboration with suppliers while supporting quality standards and continuous improvement.

Key accountability areas

Inspection management:
Conduct daily inspections of raw materials to ensure compliance with defined quality standards.
Report inspection findings and escalate noncompliance issues.

Quality control:
Perform detailed analysis and testing of raw materials to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Initiate Nonconforming Material Reports (NCRs) for noncompliant materials and suggest corrective actions.

Documentation & compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inspection records.
Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and industry standards.

Cross-functional coordination:
Work closely with suppliers to address quality concerns and improve material standards.
Support internal teams by providing insights into material quality and suggesting alternatives when necessary.

Training & development:
Assist in training inspection staff on quality protocols and equipment usage.
Stay updated on industry standards and technologies to recommend improvements.

Lab equipment & calibration:
Operate and maintain lab equipment used for quality inspections.
Perform routine calibration and report issues.

Role accountability

HR proficiency:
Ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Delivery:
Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-solving:
Solve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

Quality:
Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.

Business process improvements:
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Compliance:
Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, safety, and environment:
Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering

Work experience

4 to 6 years
