Resident Architect (RA)
Job Description:
• Lead architectural site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CAG, QP(S)/consultants and FUI owners.
• Possess good leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years' relevant architectural experience, of which at least 5 years in supervision of works of similar complexity (architectural and fitting-out works in major building construction).
• Architectural degree recognised by the Board of Architects.
• Preferably with focused experience in Roof & Facade systems, Architectural systems, or Interior Fit-out works.
• Strong technical knowledge and quick-thinking ability to manage/resolve site issues.
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (WSHMCI) and other trainings per Cl. 4.2.
• Conversant with statutory codes/requirements for site supervision, quality control, safety & health, construction administration and progress reporting.
• Strong supervision & leadership skills, proactive in resolving site issues with good team spirit.
• Relevant experience in the Aviation/Aerodrome sector preferred.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Architectural QSS: experience with complex roof & skylight systems.
• Facade & sun-shading systems.
• Partition, door/door hardware, passive fire & life-safety, waterproofing systems.
• Interior fit-out incl. internal glazing, in-situ terrazzo, custom broadloom carpet, GRC/GRG cladding, terracotta panel cladding, counters & kiosks, equipment enclosures, signage & LED screens, landscape & water features.
• May be required to inspect local/overseas manufacturing plants and testing laboratories jointly with CAG, Consultants and QP/QP representatives.
