What’s in it?
As Senior 3D Character Artist you bring the heroes, NPCs, and creatures of a Unity top-down game to life - modelling, sculpting, texturing, and delivering game-ready characters that hit the art bar and perform on target hardware. You will own hero characters end-to-end and help raise the character-quality bar across the team.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Create game-ready 3D characters from concept to final: high/low-poly modelling, sculpting, retopology, UVs, baking, and PBR texturing.
Own hero characters end-to-end and set the quality benchmark for NPCs, enemies, and variants.
Ensure characters read clearly and appealingly at top-down camera distances and on target (mobile) hardware.
Build to poly / texel / texture budgets; optimize characters for real-time performance in Unity.
Partner with Animation and Technical Art on proportions, topology, deformation, and rigging needs.
Support character customization and modular/kitbash systems where required.
Integrate assets into the Unity engine and troubleshoot art issues from a creative and technical standpoint.
Follow the review process; give and receive feedback; mentor mid and junior character artists.
Adhere to the project’s art style and technical requirements.

Proven ability to review others’ work and provide clear creative and technical direction - you have actively done this on shipped projects.
Expert modelling, sculpting, and texturing - Maya / 3ds Max / Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
Strong anatomy, form, silhouette, and stylization; able to match a defined art style.
Excellent real-time knowledge: PBR, normal/AO/displacement maps, retopology, LODs, and mobile optimization.
Experience shipping characters in Unity; a working understanding of shaders and character rendering.
