Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst who is passionate about delivering insanely great products and solutions to our customers.

This is an opportunity for someone with strong practical payroll and payroll systems experience who is looking to move into a Business Analyst role. You may have progressed from a payroll position into HRIS, payroll systems administration or implementation and are now looking to apply that experience to software development. We're particularly interested in someone with practical knowledge of Australian industrial instruments, superannuation, taxation law and the day-to-day discipline of payroll.

You'll work closely with Product Owners, customers and Development teams to understand business requirements, translate them into effective system solutions and help shape our payroll products.

What you'll be doing…

• Develop a strong understanding of our payroll product, including its features, functionality, legislative and compliance requirements.
• Apply your knowledge of Australian payroll, industrial instruments, superannuation and taxation to analyse business requirements and system functionality.
• Work with Product Owners, customers and Development teams to capture and translate requirements into clear user requirements and functional outcomes.
• Participate in customer workshops to understand requirements and help shape effective solutions.
• Contribute to feature design and work with Development teams to deliver new functionality.
• Write user requirements, test cases and supporting documentation.
• Conduct Business Acceptance Testing and, where required, functional QA and regression testing.
• Work with Product Success to support the rollout and adoption of new functionality.
• Present new features and functionality to internal and external stakeholders.

Your Talents…

• Practical experience working in payroll, with a strong understanding of Australian payroll processes.
• Knowledge of Australian industrial instruments, superannuation and taxation law.
• Experience working with a payroll or HRIS system, ideally in systems administration, implementation, configuration or support.
• Payroll system implementation experience, including experience with other software vendors, is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills.
• Relevant degree and/or industry experience.
