Senior C++ Field Survey Software Engineer (Cross-Platform)

Topcon Positioning Group in Italy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Field Survey Applications (C++). You will design cross‑platform software interacting with GNSS receivers and field devices to support surveying professionals.

You will work with Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML, contribute to architecture, coding, testing and release processes, and collaborate with international teams.

Design, develop and maintain field survey applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML. Build reliable software modules for data collection, device communication, positioning workflows and field operations. Integrate Topcon and third‑party equipment including GNSS receivers and robotic total stations. Analyse technical requirements, estimate development effort and contribute to planning, prioritisation and delivery decisions. Support the full software lifecycle: architecture, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, release support and continuous improvement. Troubleshoot complex software and hardware‑integration issues, translating field feedback into robust technical solutions. Collaborate closely with project managers, team leaders, QA, product teams and international engineering colleagues. 3+ years of professional C++ software development experience. Hands-on experience with Qt and/or QML for cross‑platform application development. Good written and spoken English; Italian is helpful but not essential.
