Senior Enterprise Applications Sales Executive – State & Local Government Healthcare
We are seeking an experienced enterprise applications sales professional to drive new business and account growth across state government agencies, large counties, and public-sector healthcare organizations.
This role is focused on selling complex healthcare technology and enterprise application solutions to organizations such as state health departments, Medicaid agencies, county health systems, public hospitals, behavioral health agencies, public health departments, and correctional health organizations.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of healthcare technology sales experience, public-sector procurement expertise, executive-level relationship management, and a proven ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory and account plans for state government, large-county, and public-sector healthcare accounts.
- Generate net-new business while expanding relationships within existing strategic accounts.
- Sell enterprise healthcare applications and related technology solutions, including EHR, EMR, behavioral health, public health, revenue cycle, analytics, interoperability, cloud, and data platforms.
- Build relationships with agency executives, healthcare leaders, CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, procurement officials, program leaders, and clinical stakeholders.
- Identify customer priorities, operational challenges, funding sources, and modernization initiatives.
- Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution development, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Navigate government procurement processes, including RFIs, RFPs, contract vehicles, budget cycles, compliance requirements, and competitive evaluations.
- Coordinate internal solution consultants, product specialists, legal, finance, implementation teams, and executive sponsors.
- Work with systems integrators, consulting firms, channel partners, and technology partners to develop and advance opportunities.
- Build business cases that connect technology investments to improved healthcare access, clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, compliance, and financial performance.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, and opportunity qualification.
- Represent the organization at public-sector healthcare conferences, industry events, and executive meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success selling enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, or healthcare technology solutions.
- Experience selling to state government agencies, large counties, or other complex public-sector organizations.
- Experience managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of government procurement, RFP processes, contracting, and budget cycles.
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives and government decision-makers.
- Track record of new-logo acquisition, account expansion, pipeline creation, and quota attainment.
- Strong consultative, value-based, and solution-selling skills.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and partner organizations throughout the sales cycle.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, forecasting, and account-planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience selling healthcare applications to state or county organizations.
- Knowledge of public health, behavioral health, Medicaid, correctional health, health and human services, or county health systems.
- Experience with EHR, EMR, revenue cycle, healthcare analytics, interoperability, clinical data, or population health solutions.
- Existing relationships with state healthcare agencies, county health systems, public hospitals, or health and human services organizations.
- Experience working with systems integrators and consulting partners such as Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, or similar firms.
- Familiarity with enterprise application platforms, cloud infrastructure, AI, analytics, and data modernization.
- Experience with MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, Miller Heiman, or comparable enterprise sales methodologies.
Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,200 to $217,700 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45/55 - 50/50.
