Senior Full-Stack Developer (Python/React)

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic technology solutions provider, is seeking a talented and versatile Senior Full-Stack Developer with expertise in Python and React. This role, located in East London, Eastern Cape, ZA , offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending office collaboration with remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing a wide range of web applications, from user interfaces to server-side logic and database management. We are looking for a developer who is passionate about building scalable, efficient, and user-friendly applications, with a strong understanding of modern development practices. You will work within a collaborative team, contributing to the entire development lifecycle and playing a key role in delivering innovative digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications using Python/Django/Flask and React.
• Design and implement robust RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code across the full stack.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
• Manage and optimize database schemas and queries (SQL and NoSQL).
• Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire application stack.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing Python and React projects.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one major web framework (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and the React library.
• Experience with state management in React (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
