Company and role:
Our client is undertaking a significant technology transformation programme. They are seeking a senior project manager to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate external delivery partners and oversee the transition of technology solutions into operational environments.
Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the delivery of complex technology projects, managing project plans, resources, timelines, dependencies, risks and reporting to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain an integrated delivery roadmap, coordinating multiple technology platforms, infrastructure upgrades and system releases.
- Manage external vendors and delivery partners, ensuring contractual obligations, deliverables and project milestones are achieved.
- Oversee cloud migration and systems integration activities, working closely with technical specialists, architects and delivery teams.
- Coordinate testing, deployment readiness, cutover planning and transition into business-as-usual operations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing accurate progress reporting, managing risks and issues, and ensuring effective governance throughout delivery
The ideal candidate will have a background in the following:
- Demonstrated experience transitioning technology solutions into live production environments required
- Significant experience delivering complex technology projects within large organisations required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- A proven track record managing vendors in a project setting required
- Application and/or cloud migration experience highly advantageous
- System integration experience highly advantageous
NB: The candidate must be based in the Wellington region, and must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
