Job Summary
Lead and manage large-scale building, civil, and infrastructure construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the full lifecycle of construction projects valued at multi-millions and above, from pre-construction planning through completion, handover, and defects liability management
- Take full accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual requirements
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure work meets design specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety standards
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, developers, architects, consultants, and regulatory authorities including BCA, URA, SCDF, PUB, LTA, NEA, and MOM
- Drive Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across all project sites
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; resolve critical issues and escalate to senior or executive management as necessary
- Oversee contract administration including variation orders, claims management, and dispute resolution processes
- Prepare and present project status reports, cost forecasts, and progress updates to senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders
- Utilize project management and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and BIM software to monitor project progress and resource allocation
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Professional certification such as PMP, Professional Engineer (PE), or registration with PEB/BOA is an advantage
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Proven track record delivering large-scale building, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects in Singapore
- Strong working knowledge of BCA regulations, Singapore building codes, and local construction standards and approval processes
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills
