Software Developer (Open Text Documentum) – Contract
Summary
Develop and maintain enterprise document management systems using OpenText Documentum, Java/J2EE, and SQL, focusing on repositories, workflows, and integrations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into application designs and software solutions.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Documentum and related technologies.
- Configure, customise, and support Documentum repositories, workflows, and document management solutions.
- Develop, execute, and document unit test cases to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and production implementation activities.
- Investigate and resolve application defects, production issues, and performance-related problems in a timely manner.
- Ensure applications comply with coding standards, security guidelines, and organizational development practices.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system design, configuration, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver business requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application quality and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintain enterprise-level applications based on business and technical requirements.
Strong experience with OpenText Documentum. - Knowledge of Documentum Content Server, D2, DFC, and workflow configuration.
- Experience with Java/J2EE and SQL.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Git or other version control tools.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, application support, and production issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
