Job Description
We are seeking an insurance industry expert to join Alert Labs as a Senior Account Executive, developing new relationships with insurance carriers and brokers across Canada and the United States. This role is focused on new business acquisition within the insurance industry and requires a candidate who brings genuine credibility within the insurance space, someone who speaks the language of underwriters, brokers, and risk managers, and who understands how technology can be positioned to reduce losses within a client's portfolio.
This is not an account management role; it's a proactive, high-impact sales position ideal for someone who excels at cold outreach, pipeline management, and value-driven conversations grounded in real insurance industry expertise.
Position Overview
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving new business across North America through proactive outreach, account development, and solution-based selling focused on insurance providers. This role requires a combination of hunting with a focus on long-term value creation; someone who thrives on finding, developing, and building new business relationships with carriers, brokers and managing general agencies (MGA’s).. The ideal candidate combines deep insurance industry knowledge with technical fluency in risk and loss prevention technology and is comfortable operating as a trusted advisor to carriers and brokers on both sides of the border.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting insurance carriers, brokers, and related partners across the US and Canada
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the insurance sector, with a focus on developing long-term partnerships with insurers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including underwriters, risk engineers, and brokers
- Present and demonstrate water monitoring hardware and software solutions and programs tailored to client needs, translating technical capability into measurable loss-reduction outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, balancing near-term milestones with long-term programs
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory considerations, and emerging risks related to water damage and property loss
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions across North America
