Supply Chain Manager (Chemical Manufacturing MNC) - West - WCDT
About the Role
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to support the Department Manager in overseeing daily supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
The role focuses on inventory control, supplier management, workforce planning, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure on-time delivery and effective inventory control.
Work closely with Production, Sales, Finance, Quality and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor compliance with company SOPs, laws, regulations, ISO and safety requirements.
Plan and manage daily operations and workforce deployment.
Monitor workflow, productivity and work quality, and drive continuous improvement.
Analyze data and prepare reports to identify issues and improve processes.
Promote cross-training, teamwork and knowledge sharing within the department.
Implement and maintain 5S, housekeeping and safe working practices.
Support process improvements involving logistics, procurement, inventory and transportation.
Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement initiatives.
Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in team leadership and supervision.
Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement, inventory management and transportation.
Experience in compliance, safety, environmental or trade regulations is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good numerical and data analysis abilities.
Good knowledge of ERP, inventory management and logistics systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Proactive, hands-on and continuous improvement mindset.
Able to manage multiple tasks and handle ad-hoc assignments.
Experience with Manufacturing MNCs is an advantage.
Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM or Hazardous Substance Management will be an added advantage.
**5 days work week (8am-4.45pm, Mon-Fri)
