As part of Group Tax, we in the VAT team set the global governance and strategy for VAT related matters - working with technology, processes, reporting & compliance and advisory. We also have the reporting responsibility for a range of entities related to the Group.
The VAT team currently consists of 5 people where we have a wide variety of competencies within processes, compliance, and technology.
Responsibilities
As a student worker in VAT Advisory you will be working within the following areas of responsibility, gaining exposure to many different aspects of Taxes.
VAT compliance and reporting
Support preparation and submission of Danish VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, statistical reports, CBAM reporting, etc.
Financial administration and reconciliations
Assist with reconciliations (e.g. Skattekonto), payment and refund postings, and creation of purchase orders for external service providers.
Operational support and coordination
Manage incoming mail, handle signature requests (e.g. POAs, certificates), and support coordination with external advisors and internal stakeholders globally.
Data handling and stakeholder support
Respond to data requests from various stakeholders (internal and external), provide support across the VAT team, and assist with onboarding/offboarding of entities or process transitions.
Audit and process improvement support
Assist with audit-related preparations and contribute to continuous improvement of VAT processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a relevant university degree (e.g. Finance, Accounting, IT, Economics, Business Administration, or similar)
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Interest in tax, VAT, and financial processes (prior knowledge is a plus, not a requirement)
Comfortable working with Excel and handling data
Good communication skills in English (Danish is an advantage but not required)
