Location: Portland, OR
Onsite Requirements: This role will be worked hybrid with 3 weeks per month remote and 1 week onsite in Portland, OR.
Compensation Range: $100-120 per hr

Seeking an HR transformation specialist with expertise in Workday HCM, job framework design, and compensation planning to build enterprise workforce structures. This role focuses on developing career levels, job hierarchies, pay programs, and compensation cycles while aligning organizational design with Workday capabilities and long-term talent objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Develop organization-wide job framework models, including career streams, role classifications, job levels, career progression, and governance standards.
* Analyze existing organizational structures and create scalable role hierarchy and job leveling strategies for future workforce needs.
* Design compensation programs by defining salary structures, pay bands, market alignment, internal equity, and incentive plans.
* Support enterprise compensation cycles, including annual merit increases, bonus planning, and promotional salary adjustments.
* Collaborate with HR, Talent, Compensation, and business stakeholders to align organizational design with strategic workforce objectives.
* Review and enhance Workday job profiles, grade structures, management hierarchies, and compensation-related configurations.
* Perform workforce analysis, employee alignment, financial impact assessments, and organizational modeling to support structural changes.
* Establish governance standards, maintenance procedures, and change management practices for job architecture and compensation initiatives.
* Advise on best practices for workforce planning, career development frameworks, talent strategy, and total rewards programs.
* Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct while fostering a respectful and collaborative workplace.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.
* Minimum of 7 years supporting workforce strategy, organizational design, compensation, total rewards, or HR transformation initiatives.
* Active certification in Workday HCM and/or Workday Compensation.
* Proven expertise developing job frameworks, role hierarchies, career progression models, and enterprise compensation programs.
* Strong knowledge of Workday HCM functionality, including job classifications, job families, compensation structures, salary plans, and annual compensation cycles.
* Experience evaluating market pay data, creating salary frameworks, and assessing the business impact of compensation changes.
* Demonstrated ability to lead executive-level discussions and collaborate with HR, Talent, Compensation, and business leadership to achieve organizational objectives.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience delivering enterprise-wide job architecture and workforce transformation initiatives.
* Background providing consulting services to large, complex organizations, including Fortune 500 clients.
* Hands-on experience with merit increase planning, pay equity reviews, and strategic workforce planning.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
