Our client is looking for a business focussed Business Analyst to assist with a current state analysis of service delivery functions to inform the design of a new service operating model. This is an hourly rate contract based in Petone and is looking for an ASAP start for 3 x months or to the end of December 2026.

About the role

Working as part of a wider transformation programme you’ll work independently on this project with a Chief Advisor to:

• Gather and analyse information about current services and processes
• Engage with stakeholders to understand how services operate in practice
• Develop and document a comprehensive service catalogue
• Map key service inputs, outputs, activities and dependencies
• Identify themes, gaps and opportunities to inform the future operating model
• Provide clear, practical analysis to support the next stages of the programme

About you

We’re looking for a solid, business-focused Business Analyst who can quickly get across a complex environment and work confidently with a range of stakeholders.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong experience in business analysis and process mapping
• Experience contributing to operating model, service delivery or transformation programmes
• A practical, outcomes-focused approach to gathering and analysing information
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and hit the ground running

This is not a technical BA role. We’re looking for someone who understands how organisations deliver services and can translate that understanding into clear, useful information to support future decision-making.
