PROGRAM ANALYST (BRIDGE)
Summary
Analyzes environmental compliance for U.S. Navy operations, reviews regulations, conducts inspections, and documents findings using tools like Excel and Access.
The detailee for this position will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Production Resources Department, (Code 099). This position will serve in a bridge program designed to give employees an opportunity to gain competencies necessary to qualify for a GS-0343 position. If selected, you will be placed in the position Not to Exceed One Year.
You will review various environmental program rules and regulations and interfaces with Environmental Program Managers to gain clarification on interpretation and requirements impacting operations or production personnel.
You will participate in discussions regarding new processes prior to implementation.
You will conduct oversight surveillances, operational compliance sweeps, and emphasis patrols to verify compliance with regulations.
You will provide metrics to conduct trend analysis using computer programs such as Microsoft Access, Excel, and Power Point.
You will develop long range plans to ensure training resources are available to meet program requirements.
You will, under close supervision, perform periodic oversight inspections on trades operations to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, Department of Navy, and local rules and instructions.
You will document findings in databases and issues surveillance findings to involved personnel and management including Superintendents, Nuclear and Non- Nuclear Directors.
You will serve as a departmental point of contact for matters concerning environmental compliance.
