Senior Endpoint Security Engineer

Salary: RM 12,000 – RM 13,000 per month

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst to join OPTIMUM INFOSOLUTIONS (M) SDN BHD on a contract basis. This role is based in Petaling, Selangor and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment where you will play a key role in analysing business requirements and translating them into effective technology solutions. As an IT Analyst, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that IT solutions align with organisational objectives and deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

1. Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders and translating these into detailed system specifications

2. Analysing existing systems and business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

3. Conducting feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed technology solutions

4. Designing and developing business and technical solutions that meet organisational needs

5. Collaborating with system development teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to specifications

6. Testing and validating systems to ensure they function as intended and meet business requirements

7. Providing technical support and documentation to end-users and business teams

8. Monitoring system performance and recommending enhancements or optimisations

9. Participating in project meetings and providing status updates to management and stakeholders

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an IT Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role

3. Strong understanding of systems analysis and design methodologies (such as SDLC, Agile or Waterfall)

4. Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation and specification writing tools

5. Experience with databases, data modelling and SQL is highly desirable

6. Knowledge of business process management and workflow optimisation

7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components

8. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools

10. Experience with system testing methodologies and quality assurance processes

11. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

12. Certification in relevant areas such as CBAP, IIBA or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous
